British Columbia Golf Association Signs Agreement with Jencess Software & Technologies, Inc. for delivery of professional technology solutions for the BC GolfNet Information Network
Edmonton, Alberta, February 15, 2001: The British Columbia Golf Association has selected Jencess Software & Technologies Inc. of Edmonton Alberta as their new technology partner for the province’s BC GolfNet Information Network. The BC GolfNet is a networked computerized handicapping and information system which is installed at more than 150 member golf clubs in BC and is used by over 40,000 individual golfers to record rounds played and generate ‘official’ Handicap Factors.

“The BCGA’s decision to sign with Jencess was made after a thorough evaluation of the industry leaders in the field of golf related software and service solutions”, said Kris Jonasson, the BCGA’s Executive Director. “Jencess has a proven record in providing successful Central Systems, for the Alberta Golf Association since 1995 and the Ontario Golf Association since 1998.”

Fair-Way 2000 is just one component of Jencess’ completely integrated suite, PROShop Office 2000. Integrating with other modules of the suite, Fair-Way’s new Member Service Center, allows a member to enter/view their tee times, view/sign up for tournaments, and view/enter their ballots while linking completely with Tee-Way 2000. The other integrated modules are Sale-Way POS, TelePro IVR, Serv-Way F&B, Tour-Way Tournament, and the Acct-Way Financial System.

In addition to support from the Edmonton corporate office, Kwadwo Frempong will be retained by the BCGA and Jencess to provide the first line support and promotion of the GolfNet system. He can be reached at the BCGA office at (604)294-1818.
